About Us
Michael Bourré serves as president of Bourré Construction Group,
a Northeast Florida builder specializing in residential and
commercial construction. Bourré, who will serve as president
of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) in 2011, has
more than 13 years experience in the building and construction
industry.
He founded Bourré Construction Group in 2005 to develop
residential and commercial projects. The company designs
energy-efficient homes for every budget, ranging from elegant
custom designs to homes for the first-time buyer. Bourré
Construction Group is a Pinnacle Builder, a recognition given by
NEFBA to members who do business with other members and more than
90 percent of its active subcontractors are NEFBA members.
Prior to founding Bourré Construction Group, Bourré worked with
SEDA Construction Co. in Jacksonville. He held leadership
roles at SEDA, including operations manager and vice president of
construction, and closed more than 600 homes. Before joining
SEDA, Bourré worked with Brasfield and Gorrie in Atlanta for
several years on mid- to high-rise projects as an estimator and
project manager. Bourré has also worked for Charles Perry
Construction in Gainesville.
Bourré served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years.
He received his bachelor's degree in building construction
from the University of Florida and holds a Florida general
contractors license. Bourré's honors include the Excellence
Award from Associated Builders and Contractors and the Leadership
Award from the University of Florida. In addition to NEFBA,
Bourré is involved with the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts,
the Marine Corp League and Trinity Rescue Mission.
